Kolchak Has Won a Bram Stoker Award!

Unbelievable news — our Kolchak: The Night Stalker 50th Anniversary book won the Bram Stoker Award for best graphic novel Saturday night! I am floored. The first person to win this award was Alan Moore and a couple of years back Neil Gaiman won it. So we're in amazing company. And we couldn't have done this without you! That's not hype. This book WOULD NOT have happened if you didn't support the project through Kickstarter. This is an amazing honor and I thank the nearly 2000 backers who helped us get there. Your support means a lot to me.

And in a perfect coincidence I've just gotten my hands on 10 copies of Kevin J. Anderson's Kolchak / Dan Shamble comic, which he'll sign for you. The 42-page comic is available thru my new Kickstarter for Dead Detectives Society and Monstrous Magazine. Act fast, because they will go fast.

Two very exciting things have happened — I'm done with fulfillment. It was a huge, huge job, but it got done.  Everything has been shipped out! Thank you to everyone who messaged or commented about how much they love the books.

And speaking of love for the books, we got nominated—not for one award, but two awards!

First, the Kolchak 50 anthology is up for Best Graphic Novel at this year's Bram Stoker Awards, which are the most prestigious honors for horror fiction. I'm blown away! And then the anthology was nominated for a Rondo Hatton Classic Horror Award for Best Graphic Presentation. Amazing!  

In fact, my previous anthology, Classic Monsters Unleashed, was also nominated for a Rondo, in the Best Classic Horror Fiction category.

You can vote on the Rondo awards.  You just have to email your selections to David Colton at [email protected] by Sunday night at midnight, April 23rd. The ballot and more info is here.

Fulfillment is 75% Done; A Bunch of Great Reviews

We're three-quarters of the way done with fulfillment. There are about 450 more shipments to go!

Thank you all for your patience. It's just me and my wife handling the shipment but we've been able to get books out at a pretty quick rate.

I'm hoping to get everything else out in the next week, though I'm still waiting on some signed hardcovers, so that may take a little longer.

Hardcovers Are Here! Let the Shipping Begin!

I just got the full shipment of hardcovers — all 3200 pounds of Kolchak graphic novels! 

I'm shipping them out immediately, along with the remaining rewards. I'm hoping to get everything out in the next 3 weeks (Fingers crossed).  You will get a tracking number.

By the way, there seems to be some confusion about the digital books. All digital books are available for download through BackerKit. If you submitted your survey through BackerKit, you have an account. Go to Backerkit.com and sign in.
