Happy National Shakespeare Day — a perfect day to announce my next anthology.

Shakespeare Unleashed

That's right — I'm unleashing the Bard of Avon with horror stories based on his plays and characters. And what an amazing lineup we have. But before we get to that, check out the cover art by J.K. Woodward, who of course also did the limited-edition Kolchak cover as well as the art for Peter David's Kolchak story.

Alas, Poor Shakespeare!

TAKE A LOOK: New Artwork From Szymon Kudranski, Colton Worley, J.K. Woodward, Clara Meath
about 2 years ago – Sun, Apr 03, 2022 at 08:06:12 AM

We're making great progress on the graphic novel. Almost all of the scripts are in. Artwork for several of the stories are finished and about half of the pages overall are done. We're still on pace to get the books out in October.

Surveys should go out next month. You can still grab rewards through our Backerkit store here.

Here's a look at some pages and panels...

Szymon Kudranski and Juan Samu Among New Contributors
about 2 years ago – Thu, Mar 03, 2022 at 10:55:11 PM

The book is coming along very well.  Most of the scripts are in and being illustrated. We've also gotten a few dozen  submissions for the prose stories, which we're making our way through.

We have several contributor announcements as we finalize the lineup.

- Szymon Kudranski  (Spawn, The Punisher) will illustrate Steve Niles' story "The Package."  Szymon did the art for Steve's A Town Called Terror and Rodney Barnes' Johnny Gatlin.

- Juan Samu (Elvira Meets Vincent Price, Black Panther, Transformers ) will illustrate a special four-page story.

- For the prose, we've accepted stories by Lisa Morton and Leverett Butts.

And, yes, submssions are still open for the prose stories.

Introducing Teen Kolchak...
about 2 years ago – Fri, Feb 11, 2022 at 03:04:25 AM

We're so excited about this. As you may know, David Avallone has written a Kolchak story set in 1939 Coney Island, Brooklyn. It's called "The Funny Place" and features 17-year-old Carl Karel Kolchak investigating his first story as a high school reporter. Marvel artist Julius Ohta is illustrating the 14-page story — and we have a sneak peek.
